When librarians talk about records, they usually mean a digital record of a source -- such as an article, a book, or a government report.
When you perform a search using QuickSearch, for example, a list of results are returned. Each result is a record. When you click into the record, you can access more about the source, such as the author, the publication, the publishing data, and the abstract. This is also where you find out how to access the source itself.
In EBSCO, record pages offer many tools, such as:
- Citation generator
- Email source to yourself or to another user
